Wiring Instructions in Manual are dangerously INCORRECT
Warning. This 12000 BTU model comes with a generic manual that includes (apparently, but not explicitly) instructions for a variety of models / sizes. This 12000 BTU model has a completely different wiring schematic on the nameplate (inside and outside) and is a 115/120V system. However, the manual tells you that it is 230/240V. Talk about a HORRIBLE mistake. Cannot be overstated how critically poor this manual is for install. I'm an electrician and had a LOT of trouble figuring out what was really proper for this unit. Breaker Amperage recommendations in manual are for 20A, but nameplate says 30A. Stay away unless you are supremely confident you can figure out what is needed from nameplates, then take a leap of faith. I highly recommend folks that are not electricians nor plan to hire ones for this install to look at other more user friendly models.
